I don't mean naturally, I mean, can you make them spawn? If yes, what "spawning agent" do you use?
(I don't think this has been asked before, but if it has, I apologize. I did search the forum high and low for an answer, came up empty-handed.)
Theres no spawning agent but they will only appear/ live in bigger oceans. I have a ocean without kelp and there are shark there but when i tried moving a shark to my small pond it wouldn't work
I found they can spawn (at least in open ocean) close to fish, but maybe prefer to deeper (around 20 to 50 blocks deep).I planted some kelp, first fish appeared; then after a while, some sharks appeared.
They can. I've got about 20 of the lil things in my kelp 'farm'
You can't see them on this picture as they are so small, but it shows where mine have spawned
I see them. And you didn't put anything in there other than kelp? You didn't add a baby shark?
I didn't add anything (kelp farm was already set up before update) The fish and sharks spawned on their own. The sharks took a while to spawn (or at least I think try did, they were too small for me to notice at first, only realised when they all attacked me when wanted to harvest kelp)
do sharks spawn only in the dark?
Apparently not, according to Spike's post.
About how deep does your water have to be for sharks?
