The reason why the ‘wink’ emoji won’t work is because you’re using HTML there. You’ll need to do KP7’s method.

How to use emojis with HTML

Default Emojis

All emojis have a name. The name is what is between two colons.
Example: :slight_smile: (the name does not include the colons)

All of the default emojis are located under:

https://forums.theblockheads.net/images/emoji/twitter/[EMOJI NAME HERE].png

Put the emoji name after the twitter directory in the URL. All of these emojis are PNG files (put .png after the emoji name in the URL).

Here is the HTML code:

<img height="20" src="https://forums.theblockheads.net/images/emoji/twitter/[EMOJI NAME HERE].png" alt="Icon" />

To make the icon the normal size, set the height attribute to 20.

Custom Emojis

Custom, emojis are the emojis of the blockhead faces. These do not work exactly the same as the default emojis with Discorse. Interestingly, the custom emojis don’t appear to be on the forums website. They appear to be hosted on the Amazon S3 Cloud (the same one that is used to host all the images we upload to the forums). These emojis are not as easy to find as the default emojis, so I will just post a list of these.

NOTE: The icons with animations are not shown below. I am still working on these.

Put the URLs into an image (img) tag inside the source (src) attribute.

To make the icon the normal size, set the height attribute to 20.
