Can we use blockheads_font on our welcome messages with CSS?

I came accross the idea of using The Blockheads font on our welcome messages. I went to the main site of this domain and found where the file is located. Since you can join servers with a link that uses theblockheads.net domain, are we able to use the font on our servers that is used on the home site of theblockheads.net?

For example, can we use something simillar this to get TheBlockheads font? I haven’t had any sucess.

<style>
@font-face {
font-family: blockheads_font;
src: url(../fonts/blockheads_font.woff);
}
p {
font-family: blockheads_font, helvecta, sans-serif;
}
</style>

Maybe because it’s not a google font? I’m not good at this stuff '’

If the servers wm is on the domain theblockheads.net that shouldn’t matter.

@TheFoil comedy.

Hey KP7 xD

Welcome messages are not on any domain. They are loaded with a local file on your device. I’d need to poke around a bit more to see if you can use the local font, but it’s easy to use the font on the site.

<style>

@font-face {
    font-family: "blockheads_font";
    src: url("http://theblockheads.net/fonts/blockheads_font.ttf");
}

body {
    font-family: blockheads_font;
}
</style>

It worked, thx bib.

How is this possible? If you delete TBH off your device, welcome messages are still there. I don’t know the infrastructure very well, but I thought welcome messages where stored on the Amazon S3 cloud with the servers? :question:

By any chance could someone post the new link? Dave updated theblockheads.net site so what bib said above doesn’t work anymore. I went to the site and tried replacing the links and font name with what it showed in my developer console but for som reason it just wont work. :frowning:

The old font is no longer hosted on the blockheads.net, but the new one is, so you could replace it with http://theblockheads.net/fonts/BlockheadsFont-Regular.ttf

It works. Thanks a million for everything Dave!

I think the new fon’t looks more stylish on welcome messages. Perhaps you could even consider making them the default font? :slight_smile:

Does it by any chance cost you for extra bandwidth by using the font from your website??

The old font is still available at http://blockmarket.theblockheads.net/fonts/blockheads_font.ttf

Will probably be removed soon. If that is, I’ll host it on my website.

How do you change the font to that?

Basically the same code as I posted above, just a different link.

<style>

@font-face {
    font-family: "blockheads_font";
    src: url("http://theblockheads.net/fonts/BlockheadsFont-Regular.ttf");
}

body {
    font-family: blockheads_font;
}
</style>
