Information on every gem/ingot/ore in the game

this one took ages because i was lazy XD
i might make a tool guide, but im not sure at the moment.

EVERYTHING HERE IS REFERRING TO BASIC VANILLA WORLDS. YOU MAY FIND ORES NEAR OR ON THE SURFACE DEPENDING ON HOW YOU SET UP YOUR WORLD.
Ores

Copper Ore - Found on all levels of the world. Looks like stone with specks of green and tan in it. Three given when mined with a non-gem pickaxe. At the level one furnace or the electric furnace, three can be made into one copper ingot. Can also be found when sluicing gravel and when using a golden tool on a stone/ore block. At the level 2 press, 10 copper ore can make one copper blue.

Iron Ore - Found on all levels of the world. Looks like stone with specks of brown in it. Three given when mined with an non-gem pickaxe. Five given when tapped on with a magnet. Three needed to upgrade furnace to level two. At the level two furnace or the electric furnace, three can be made into one iron ingot. At the electric furnace, one iron ore plus one crushed limestone can make one iron ingot. Can also be found when sluicing gravel and when using a golden tool on a stone/ore block. At the press, 2 black sand can make one iron ore. At the electric furnace, one crushed limestone and one iron ore can make one pig iron.

Tin Ore - Found on all levels of the world. Looks like stone with grey specks in it. Three given when mined with a non-gem pickaxe. At the level one furnace or the electric furnace, three can be made into one tin ingot. Can also be found when sluicing gravel and when using a golden tool on a stone/ore block.

Gold Nugget - Found in the bottom quarter of the world. Looks like stone with golden specks in it. Often found in small groups. Three given when mined with a non-gem pickaxe. Three needed to upgrade the furnace to level three. When found, they will give off a faint glow. At the level three furnace or the electric furnace, three can be made into one gold ingot. Can also be found when sluicing gravel and when using a golden tool on a stone/ore block.

Titanium Ore - Found on all levels of the world. Looks like stone with blueish specks in it. Often found in small groups. Three given when mined with a non-gem pickaxe. At the electric furnace, three can be made into one titanium ingot. Can also be found when sluicing gravel and when using a golden tool on a stone/ore block.

Platinum Ore - Found on all levels of the world. Looks like stone with colorful specks in it. Often found in small groups. Three given when mined with a non-gem pickaxe. At the electric furnace, three can be made into one platinum ingot. Can also be found when sluicing gravel and when using a golden tool on a stone/ore block.

Gems

Amethyst - Can be meditated. Found on all levels of the world. It is purple and gives off a faint glow. When picked up, achievement “find an amethyst” is gained. Most common of all gems. One needed to upgrade the portal to amethyst, plus 20 time crystals. One needed to upgrade the trade portal to level 2, plus 20 time crystals and 1 gold coin. At the amethyst portal, five amethysts and 20 time crystals can make one amethyst pickaxe. At the level three craft bench, five amethysts and one glass can make an amethyst chandelier. If you mine stone or any ore block with a golden tool, you may get an amethyst. Can also be found on floating islands with an amethyst gem tree/amethysts under the island. Makes a low “ding” sound when grabbed. Can also be found in golden chests.

Sapphire - Can be meditated. Found on all levels of the world. It is blue and gives off a faint glow. When picked up, achievement “find a sapphire” is gained. One needed to upgrade the amethyst portal to sapphire, plus 40 time crystals. One needed to upgrade the trade portal to level three, plus 40 time crystals and (?) gold coins. At the sapphire portal, five sapphires and 40 time crystals needed to make a sapphire pickaxe. At the level three craft bench, five sapphires plus five glass can make a sapphire chandelier. If you mine stone or any ore block with a golden tool, you may get a sapphire. Can also be found on floating islands with a sapphire gem tree/sapphires under the island. Makes a medium low “ding” sound when grabbed. Can also be found in golden chests.

Emerald - Can be meditated. Found on all levels of the world. It is green and gives off a faint glow. When picked up, achievement “find an emerald” is gained. One needed to upgrade the sapphire portal to emerald, plus 60 time crystals. One needed to upgrade the trade portal to level four, plus 60 time crystals and (?) gold coins. At the emerald portal, five emeralds plus 40 time crystals can make an emerald pickaxe. At the level three craft bench, five emeralds plus five glass can make one emerald chandelier. If you mine stone or any ore block with a golden tool, you may get an emerald. Can also be found on floating islands with an emerald gem tree/emeralds under the island. Makes a medium “ding” sound when grabbed. Can also be found in golden chests.

Ruby - Can be meditated. Found in the bottom third of the world. It is red and gives off a faint glow. When picked up, achievement “find a ruby” is gained. One needed to upgrade the emerald portal to ruby, plus 80 time crystals. One needed to upgrade the trade portal to level five, plus 80 time crystals and (?) gold coins. At the ruby portal, five rubies plus 80 time crystals can make a ruby pickaxe. At the level three craft bench, five rubies plus five glass can make one ruby chandelier. If you mine stone or any ore block with a golden tool, you may get a ruby. Can also be found on a floating island with a ruby gem tree/rubies under the island. Makes a medium high “ding” sound when grabbed. Can also be found in golden chests.

Diamond - Can be meditated. Found in the bottom quarter of the world. It is light blue and gives off a faint glow. When picked up, achievement “find a diamond” is earned. Rarest of all the gems. One needed to upgrade the ruby portal to diamond, plus 100 time crystals. One needed to upgrade the trade portal to level 6, plus 100 time crystals and (?) gold coins. At the diamond portal, five diamonds plus 100 time crystals can make one diamond pickaxe. At the level three craft bench, five diamonds plus five glass can make one diamond chandelier. If you mine stone or any ore block with a golden tool, you may get a diamond. Can also be found on a floating island with a diamond gem tree/diamonds under the island. Harvesting a diamond from a diamond gem tree will earn you the achievement “Lucy”. Makes a high “ding” sound when grabbed. Can also be found in golden chests.

Ingots

Tin Ingot - Can be meditated. Made at the level one furnace or the electric furnace with three tin ore. At the level one furnace or the electric furnace, one tin ingot and two copper ingots can make three bronze ingots. At the level 2 tool bench, 1 stick and 3 tin ingots can make a tin spade. At the level one metalwork bench or the electric metalwork bench, 3 tin ingots can make one tin bucket, and 5 tin ingots can make one tin block. At the level 2 press, one tin ingot can make one tin foil. At the level 3 workbench, one stone and 5 tin ingots can make one armor bench. At the level one armor bench, 2 tin ingots can make one tin boots or a tin helmet, 5 tin ingots can make one tin chest plate, and 3 tin ingots can make one tin armor leggings.

Copper Ingot - Can be meditated. Made at the level one furnace or the electric furnace with three copper ore. At the level 2 furnace or electric furnace, one can be made into 10 copper coins. At the level one furnace, one tin ingot and 2 copper ingots make 3 bronze ingots. At the level 2 tool bench, 50 sticks, 5 dodo feathers, one string, and 5 copper ingots make a copper bow and arrows. At the level one metalwork bench or electric metalwork bench, 5 copper ingots can make one copper block. At the level 2 metalwork bench or electric metalwork bench, one copper ingot can make 5 copper wire, and one bucket of water and 5 copper ingots can make a copper boiler.

Bronze Ingot - Can be meditated. Set of three made at the level one furnace or the electric furnace with one tin ingot and two bronze ingots. At the level 2 workbench, 5 bronze ingots can upgrade your workbench to level 3. At the level 3 workbench, 5 bronze ingots and 2 coal can make one metalwork bench. At the level one metalwork bench or the electric metalwork bench, 5 bronze ingots can make one bronze block. At the level 2 tool bench, 5 bronze ingots are needed to upgrade to level 3. At the level 1 easel, 3 bronze ingots are needed to upgrade to level 2. At the level 1 press, 1 bronze ingot is needed to upgrade to level 2. At the level 3 tool bench, 1 stick and 2 bronze ingots can make a bronze machete, 1 stick and 5 bronze ingots can make a bronze pickaxe, and 1 stick and 3 bronze ingots can make a bronze sword.

Iron Ingot - Can be meditated. Made at the level two furnace or the electric furnace with three iron ore, or at the electric furnace with one pig iron. At the woodwork bench, one wood and one iron ingot can make 5 reinforced platforms. At the level 3 furnace and the electric furnace, 1 iron ingot and 2 coal or 1 iron ingot and 1 coal can make one steel ingot, respectively. At the level one metalwork bench or electric metalwork bench, one iron ingot and one black sand can make one magnet, and 5 iron ingots can make one iron block. At the level 2 metalwork bench or electric metalwork bench, 2 iron ingots and one black glass can make one display cabinet, 3 iron ingots can make an iron pot (only at the level 2 metalwork bench), and 5 iron ingots can make a safe. At the kiln or electric kiln, one black glass and 3 iron ingots can make 5 black windows. At the level 4 workbench, one steel block, one iron ingot, and 10 copper wire make an electric furnace. At the level 3 tool bench, 5 iron ingots are needed to upgrade to level 4. At the level 1 armor bench, 1 iron ingot is needed to upgrade to level 2. At the level 4 tool bench, one stick and 5 iron ingots can make one iron pickaxe, one stick and 2 iron ingots can make one iron machete, and one stick and 3 iron ingots can make one iron sword or one iron axe. At the level 2 armor bench, 2 iron ingots can make one iron boots or one iron helmet, 5 iron ingots can make one iron chest plate, and 3 iron ingots can make 1 iron armor leggings.

Steel Ingot - Can be meditated. Made at the level three furnace or the electric furnace with two coal and one iron ingot or one coal and one iron ingot, respectively. At the level 4 tool bench, 5 steel ingots are needed to upgrade to level 5. At the level 5 tool bench, one stick and 5 steel ingots can make one steel pickaxe, and 2 steel ingots can make a crowbar. At the level 2 metalwork bench or electric metalwork bench, 5 steel ingots make one steel block, one oil, one glass, and one steel ingot makes 5 steel lanterns, 5 steel downlights, or 5 steel uplights, 5 steel ingots, one magnet, and ten copper wire make one electric motor (level 2 metalwork bench only), and 5 steel ingots, one copper boiler, and 10 coal make one steam engine (level 2 metalwork bench only). At the level three workbench, one stone and 5 steel ingots can make a train yard, and 5 steel ingots are needed to upgrade the workbench to level 4. At the level 4 workbench, one steel block, one steel ingot, and 10 copper wire make an electric metalwork bench.

Gold Ingot - Can be meditated. Made at the level three furnace or electric furnace with either three gold ore, one golden chest, or ten gold coins. At the level three furnace or the electric furnace, one gold ingot can be made into ten gold coins. At the level 2 metalwork bench or the electric metalwork bench, 5 gold ingots can be made into one gold block. At the level 6 tool bench, 5 gold ingots and one stick can be made into one golden pick, 3 gold ingots and one stick can be made into one gold spade, or 50 sticks, 5 dodo feathers, 5 poison, and 5 gold ingots can be made into a gold bow and poison arrows. At the level 5 tool bench, 5 gold ingots are needed to upgrade to level 6. At the level 3 furnace or electric furnace, one gold ingot can make 10 gold coins.

Titanium Ingot - Can be meditated. Made at the level three furnace or electric furnace with three titanium ore. At the level 4 craft bench, 5 carbon fiber sheets and 3 titanium ingots can make one jetpack chassis. At the electric metalwork bench, 3 titanium ingots and 5 carbon fiber sheets can make one jet engine, and 5 titanium ingots can make one titanium block. At the level 2 armor bench, 1 titanium ingot is needed to upgrade to level 3. At the level 3 armor bench, 2 titanium ingots can make a titanium helmet or titanium boots, 5 titanium ingots can make a titanium chest plate, and 3 titanium ingots can make one titanium leggings. At the level 6 tool bench, 5 titanium ingots are needed to upgrade to level 7. At the level 7 tool bench, one stick and 3 titanium ingots can make a titanium sword, or 5 titanium ingots and 1 stick can make a titanium pickaxe.

Platinum Ingot - Can be meditated. Made at the level three furnace or electric furnace with three platinum ore. At the electric furnace, one platinum ingot can make one platinum coin, and vice-versa. At the electric metalwork bench, 5 platinum ingots can make one platinum block.

Other

Coal - Found above the bottom fourth of the world, but below the top half of the world. Looks like stone with black specks in it. When mined with a non-gem pickaxe, three are given. Commonly used for fuel in furnaces and steam locomotives. At the level one furnace and the electric furnace, with two coal and one iron ingot, one steel ingot can be made. Can also be found when sluicing gravel and when using a golden tool on a stone/ore block. At the level 3 workbench, 5 bronze ingots and 2 coal can make a metalwork bench. At the level 2 metalwork bench, 5 steel ingots, one copper boiler, and ten coal can make a steam engine. At the train yard, 6 train wheels, one steam engine, one iron block, and ten coal make a steam locomotive.

Time Crystal - Can be meditated. Found on all levels of the world. It is a wavy blue. Gives off a faint glow. When mined with a non-gem pickaxe, three time crystals are given. They are added to the time crystal counter. Can also be bought at the portal at varying prices. Unlike normal items, they do not appear in your inventory when found. They also do not transfer between devices. Before 1.(?) using a golden tool on any block could get you time crystals. Makes a high xylophone-like sound when grabbed/mined. At the level two workbench, 120 time crystals and one stone can make a portal. At the portal, 50 time crystals and 5 foods (varying between oranges, apples, cherries, carrots, limes, coffee cherries, coconuts, mangoes, chili, corn, (?)) can make a second blockhead, also earning you the achievement (?). A third blockhead can be made using 100 time crystals and 5 foods (varying between oranges, apples, cherries, carrots, limes, coffee cherries, coconuts, mangoes, chili, corn, (?)), earning you the achievement (?). A fourth blockhead can be made using 150 time crystals and 5 foods (varying between oranges, apples, cherries, carrots, limes, coffee cherries, coconuts, mangoes, chili, corn, raw dodo meat, dodo eggs, (?)), earning you the achievement “four’s a crowd”. A fifth blockhead can be made with 200 time crystals and 5 foods (varying between oranges, apples, cherries, carrots, limes, coffee cherries, coconuts, mangoes, chili, corn, raw dodo meat, dodo eggs, (?)), earning you the achievement “high five!”. With one gold coin, one portal, and 100 time crystals, you can make a trade portal. You need one amethyst and 20 time crystals to upgrade the portal to amethyst. With 20 time crystals and five amethysts, you can make an amethyst pickaxe. To upgrade the portal to sapphire, you need one sapphire and 40 time crystals. 40 time crystals and five sapphires can craft a sapphire pickaxe. To upgrade the portal to emerald, you need one emerald and 60 time crystals. Five emeralds and 60 time crystals can craft an emerald pickaxe. To upgrade the portal to ruby, you need one ruby and 80 time crystals. With five rubies and 80 time crystals you can craft a ruby pickaxe. To upgrade the portal to diamond, you need one diamond and 100 time crystals. Five diamonds and 100 time crystals can craft a diamond pickaxe. One gold block, one soft bed, five fur, and 100 time crystals will make a golden bed. One portal, one golden chest, and 100 time crystals will make a portal chest. Before 1.(?), at the portal you could buy 10 copper ore for (?) time crystals, 10 tin ore for (?) time crystals, 10 iron ore for (?) time crystals, 10 gold ore for (?) time crystals, (?).

Pig Iron - Crafted at the electric furnace with one iron ore and one crushed limestone. At the electric furnace, one can be used to make one iron ingot. At the level one press, one sand and 3 pig iron can make one black sand.

Silicon Ingot - Crafted at the electric furnace with 5 sand and 5 black sand. At the electric furnace, 5 silicon ingots can make one silicon crystal.

Silicon Crystal - Crafted at the electric furnace with 5 silicon ingots. At the level 2 metalwork bench or the electric metalwork bench, 5 can be made into one silicon wafer.

Silicon Wafer - Made at the level 2 metalwork bench or electric metalwork bench with 5 silicon crystals. At the level 4 workbench, 3 silicon wafers, one steel block, and ten copper wire make one solar panel.

The wiki was rather outdated, so i made do with what i remembered. if something is incorrect, please tell me :wink:

technically, no. when you click on it, it doesnt say “coal ore”. you cant craft a coal ingot out of it.

i found iron ore only 1 block deep at a stone mountain

Iron, platinum(?), and titanium can be found at any elevation, though they are more common lower down.

Time crystals cannot be bought in the Trade Portal.
For a portal, it’s 120 TC, not 100.
The achievement is actually "High five!"
I believe that the recipe also requires 5 fur.
For the Portal Chest, you need a portal, a golden chest, and 100 TC.
