They grow near the poles, on vines that have different patterns than the original vines, and they are more satisfying than sunflower seeds, but not as satisfying as apples. You can’t pick fruit off vines, you have to harvest the vine. You get six grapes from one vine block, but grape vines don’t bear fruit too often. Using 15 grapes and 1 glass, you can make a Molotov at the campfire. These can be thrown to do damage, or to light large areas on fire.
Pomegranates grow between the poles and equators. They don’t restore your hunger too much, but they restore more health than other fruits. They grow on small trees, about the size of coffee trees. Using the press, you can make medical bandages out of 3 pomegranates and 1 linen.
Pineapples grow best at the equators. Pineapples restore loads of hunger, but they grow on plants that only give you one pineapple and 2 pineapple seeds upon harvest. However, another pineapple will grow on top of the ripe pineapple, reaching up to four pineapples (yes, this is how they work in real life). Using the oven, you can use 1 flour, 1 dodo egg, 1 milk, 1 salt, 1 yeast, and 1 pineapple to make pineapple pie.
Caster beans grow best at the poles. Farming poison is dangerous and annoying, because scorpions die of old age quickly, so what if you could make synthetic poison? Caster beans need cold temperature to survive, and they don’t bloom as quickly as other plants, but using a press, you can make 1 poison out of 15 caster beans. This is because caster beans contain a poison called ricin in real life. One mature caster bean plant gives you 3 beans.
Kola grows best at the equators. When harvested, it drops three kola nuts and 1 kola leaf. 2 kola leaves, 1 water bucket, and 1 ice can be used to make soda at the electric oven. Soda increases happiness by 50%. But drinking too much slows down your blockhead for a bit.
Ancient fruit trees are the smallest by far in the game, reach a max size of three blocks tall and three blocks wide (with compost). Ancient fruit is found in treasure chest, and don’t occur naturally. They will die if planted in dirt, so you need compost. But the fruit is incredible. One fruit will restore your hunger and health instantly and keeps them at max for 10 seconds, but the only trees that grow fruit slower are gem trees. Another thing is these trees need neutral temperature to grow, which means no heat and no cold. They are more expensive than titanium pickaxes in the trade portal, preventing trolls from spamming them and making themselves invincible.
These trees are the size of maples, but they drop only one wood per block when you use an pickaxe, and no wood when you use your hand. The interesting thing is, you can make coal out of three petrified wood. The leaves don’t drop anything, and they produce inedible fruit that looks like rocks. They spawn underground and can be grown in rocks.
Soybeans grow close but not at the poles. Farming dodos and fish requires too much taming, so what if there was a slower but low-maintenance way to get meat? That’s where soybeans comes in. Using the electric oven, you can make dodo meat out of 10 soybeans, and fish meat out of 20. This incredible plant has another use: using the electric oven, you can make 1 salt from two soybeans. You can also make chili out of 10 soybeans, 1 pepper 1 cheese, 1 water bucket, 3 salt, and 1 pot.
Lotus is a plant that grows on top of water anywhere in the world. It grows on top of lakes, and a mature lotus gives 6 lotus seeds upon harvest. 2 lotus seeds makes one oil at the press. Lotuses are basically sunflowers that grow an water.
Mangroves are the size of apple trees, and grow on water anywhere in the world. Their fruit are only as satisfying as maple seeds. Their main purpose is decoration for your fish farm. There are a special breed of mangroves though: forge mangroves. They grow in lava, and they give off a lot of heat.
Rubber trees grow at the equators. Pixel art requires lots of luminous plaster, and it’s hard to get enough material to manufacture plaster, especially yak fur. So what if there were rubber trees that drop two latex per block? You can make 1 plaster block out of 4 latex and 1 charcoal in the furnace. You can also use 12 latex and 1 coal to make three plaster. Rubber trees requires warm temperatures to grow, and their fruit is inedible.
Roots infest the dirt below massive trees, and digging a root block using a shovel gives you one dirt and 5 sticks. Roots disappear when the tree’s base is cut down, and roots can mix with clay and flint.
Baobabs grow in deserts everywhere. These trees grow large fruits that recover a lot of hunger, their leaves form a canopy at the top of their trunk, and they’re the size of orange trees. But what’s special about them is, if you use a bucket on a block of the trunk, it turns lighter, and it fills up the bucket, and the tree will restock on water soon. This is a way for expert mode players to farm water, because normal water farms don’t work in expert mode. But monkeys spawn on baobabs. They’re like dropbears, but they climb down the tree instead of dropping down, giving the players a little time to run. However, the monkeys are fast, and they can climb walls! They’ll even throw their poop at you on expert mode! Killing one gives you three to four leather, and they have a 5% chance of dropping compost.
These can grow to the height of maple trees, and they spawn red pandas, which drop one leather upon being killed. Cutting down bamboo gives you the same amount of wood as trees, and it also drops sticks and bamboo sprouts when cut down. Bamboo sprouts can be eaten, and they give you the same amount of food as maple seeds. The main purpose of this is to provide a good source of wood for tropical climates, because pines and maples need cold temperature to grow.
Sequoias aren’t just big versions of normal pine trees. They’re reddish and their pine needles are darker, and they have three block wide trunks. The coolest thing is, instead of having one big section of leaves, sequoias have up to four branches, depending on the size. They can spawn massive herds of dropbears, making them very dangerous. They can also spawn alpha dropbears. They’re bigger, stronger, and they can make dropbears attack at daytime. A sequoia can only have one alpha at a time. Fortunately, sequoias only grow at the cold taiga, are as rare as amethyst trees, and they very rarely produce sequoia pine cones. However, they can’t die of old age, and their roots are as hard as iron blocks, making sure people can’t just break the blocks under the sequoia in order to get rid of the alpha dropbear.
Poison ivy grows best halfway between the poles and the equators. It spawns in large patches that are rare, but if a blockhead were to walk past a mature poison ivy plant, they take damage. Walking through eight plants is enough to kill a blockhead, so a blockhead must dig up all the poison ivy plants to get past. But poison ivy plants are as hard to break as leaves, so you’ll need a iron machete to get past a poison ivy patch quickly. One plant gives 2 seeds, and 10 poison ivy seeds can be used to make 1 poison, but caster beans are a better option, because they produce more beans, and they’re safe
